Small Business Council of America Honors Molly and Jeramy Hale with its Humanitarian of the Year WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 11, 2018) – The Small Business Council of America (SBCA), a national nonprofit organization which represents the interests of more than 100,000 privately-held and family-owned organizations on Federal tax, employee benefit and health care matters, presented its awards at the 35th SBCA Annual Congressional Awards reception in Washington, D.C. on May 9, 2018.

The SBCA’s Humanitarian of the Year Award was presented to Molly and Jeramy Hale of Penn Valley, California, in recognition of their work as co-owners of Ability Production, Inc. Ability Production, Inc is a spinal cord injury design and consulting nonprofit founded in 2004 which provides services, information and resources for individuals managing spinal cord injuries.

“After Molly was seriously injured in a car accident, she and Jeramy not only found ways to overcome their own adversity but are helping others learn from their experience and supporting those with traumatic injuries during some of the most trying times of their lives” said SBCA Director, Neil Carrey. “Being a successful small business owner is great, but also being a humanitarian is the best.”

“Molly and I are honored to be chosen to receive the SBCA Humanitarian of the Year award for 2018” said Jeramy Hale. “We will continue to represent, and to work with those with spinal cord and other traumatic injuries to ensure their access to greater possibilities for rehabilitation and to maximize their potential.”

Thanks to the generous contributions of the SBCA, SBCA Director, Neil Carrey, and his wife, Karen Carrey, and many SBCA members, the SBCA through the Chris Carrey Charitable Foundation was able to present Mr. and Mrs. Hale with a significant contribution for Ability Production.
