The notes we receive from consumers and professionals are the most compelling evidence of
the positive outcomes from working with NRRTS Registrants. We are proud of the
accomplishments of our Registrants and want to share them with you.

After my husband Geoff’s diagnosis of ALS, we were told that nothing is easy in terms of
securing equipment and funding. We have found this to be untrue when dealing with
qualified providers like those with certification from the National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS). When the time came to consider a power wheelchair, we
went to Miller’s Rental and Sales in Cleveland, Ohio, where we were introduced to a wide
range of options. The number of products and choices that were available overwhelmed us.
We were guided through the process of selecting each component of the chair based on
Geoff’s medical and personal needs and lifestyle. Our rehab technology Supplier (RTS)
gave us information about available products and even allowed Geoff to try several
different chairs before he decided on the one that was best for him. Ultimately, Geoff
made the decision on his chair and its components, but it was the efforts of the RTS that
made it a much less difficult process. Because he was able to select exactly what he
needed and found what worked best for him, he was happy with the results.
Had a chair been prescribed or purchased without personal customization, it likely would
not have met his needs or expectations. In addition, our insurance company’s approval was transparent to us, because our technology supplier managed the payment process. It
reaffirmed our belief that it pays to consult qualified professionals when you want professional results.

Recently, I came into ATS Wheelchair in need of a new wheelchair. Leslie Rigg was extremely
helpful with the options that were available to me. She recommended a Quickie Titanium
based on my lifestyle. I am an active woman with a family, and this ultra-light chair has
been a blessing. The chair is easier to get into my van and get around town. Leslie was
instrumental in the purchase of my chair. She processed all of the paperwork and has
worked with my insurance company. I love this chair.

How My Life Has Changed Working With A CRTS® Versus Someone Who Is Not A CRTS®.
Because Chris is a CRTS®, he offers more options with my chair. He listens to me and is
willing to go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable with the equipment. His professionalism extends to listening to the direct care staff to further understand my needs. Working
with a CRTS® gives me better equipment and thus, a better quality of life.
I can tell Chris what I’m experiencing and although he is unable to feel what I am feeling, he uses different solutions until he gets it right. Suppliers who are not a CRTS® just fix it. When I would mention “It doesn’t feel right,” he/she would get frustrated with me. I previously used a supplier who was not a CRTS®, and the results were unsatisfactory. Chris, CRTS®, has given me a better life, because the equipment I use is designed just for me!
