To accommodate individuals and organizations ineligible for NRRTS Registration but who desire to support NRRTS and its mission, the Board of Directors established the Friend of NRRTS affiliation.
The NRRTS Board of Directors designated the original twelve Corporate Friends of NRRTS as Charter Corporate Friends of NRRTS (CCFON).

A Corporate Friend of NRRTS (CFON) is a manufacturer sponsored by a NRRTS Registrant involved in the rehabilitation technology industry that distributes its products through a dealer network.
Any charity or non-profit involved in the rehabilitation industry or profession not otherwise eligible to be a NRRTS registrant but meets the criteria for Association Friend of NRRTS (AFON) as established by the Corporation may be eligible to be affiliated as an AFON. AFONs are state, professional or national associations.

A Friend of NRRTS is an individual involved in the Rehabilitation Technology industry or profession who shares the mission and vision of NRRTS. A FON, sponsored by a NRRTS Registrant, does not meet the requirements for regular NRRTS Registration.
